Twitter Is The Dumbest Company In The World And That’s Why Their Stock Is In The Toilet
How about @twitter advertising during the World Series to do the very thing they deleted our account for? pic.twitter.com/aYbs2OdpLj

CNBC - Twitter delivered quarterly earnings and revenue that topped analysts’ expectations on Tuesday. But light guidance sent shares tumbling in after hours. Shares fell as much as 12 percent in extended-hours trade. Average monthly active users (MAUs) — a key measure of growth for Twitter — came in at 307 million for the quarter, a gain of only 3 million from the previous quarter. “We’ve simplified our road map and organization around a few big bets across Twitter, Periscope and Vine that we believe represent our largest opportunities for growth.” “They didn’t tank the quarter, they tanked guidance. That really is the story here,” finance columnist Mike Santoli said Tuesday on CNBC’s “Closing Bell.” “The trajectory’s just not what the Street needs to see.
Here is a fact. Twitter is the dumbest company in the history of earth. It’s actually amazing they are still in business. And yes I’m saying that as a minority shareholder. Yes I’m saying that as somebody who bought Twitter at 52 and it’s now at half that. Yes I’m saying that as somebody whose entire stock portfolio is Twitter. And yes I’m saying this as somebody who had their company twitter account with 230K followers deleted for posting a MLB vine even though Twitter basically advertised that people should be doing that exact thing last night .
Honestly the fact we haven’t been turned back on yet by Twitter tells you everything you need to know about why Twitter sucks. I mean they are being forced to advertise during the World Series begging people to sign up while simultaneously throwing our account out the window. It’s bananas. It’s almost like they don’t comprehend that the fact us using twitter helps twitter. It gets people to use twitter. It gets new sign ups for twitter. Mark Cuban wants to pay us to use Cyberdust and Twitter won’t let us use Twitter for free. What am I missing? We help twitter get closer to every goal they want to accomplish yet I can’t even get them to reply to an email. I can’t get anybody on the phone. It’s radio silence. I just got this email saying our account was suspended forever and thanks for the cooperation. Gee thanks Twitter.
And before people say it’s not their fault it totally is. Listen I got our twitter account suspended. That’s my fault. I’ve owned up to that from day 1. I posted a 4 second clip from the ALCS and MLB complained about copyright even though I’m 99% sure it’s fair use. I did that. Nobody else did. After MLB complained Twitter deleted that individual tweet and then proceeded to delete our entire account. Here is where it gets weird though. I actually talked to MLB about it and they were more stunned than I was that our account got deleted. They actually wanted to help us get it back but they didn’t know who to talk to either at Twitter. (Yes my mind is absolutely in a pretzel on why there were ads encouraging people to make MLB vines for twitter last night when all that does is get your account suspended, but whatever) The point is MLB just wanted that 1 tweet removed and it turned into this fiasco. Clearly the logic from Twitter is they don’t want to be bothered with complaints about individual tweets so they just get rid of the entire account instead of dealing with it. But the thing is that hurts them! How do they not realize that? How are they not able to figure that out? How can they not see this is shooting themselves in the foot? That’s what I absolutely don’t get. Twitter needs users. Twitter needs interaction. Accounts like ours help with that. MLB doesn’t want us banned. We want to use it. How is there no process to figure this out? And this my friends is how your stock ends up in the toilet.
PS – MLB network used our gif of Big Sexy falling in the clubhouse without my permission. Can I complain to them and get them banned from something too? Same exact thing they complained about.
Regardless of all this bullshit here is what MLB and Twitter forgot. Business isn’t about money to me. If tomorrow my twitter handle gets deleted, I will just start another twitter account. And then another and another and another. I have no shortage of twitter user names.
